The 6 Days of Christmas (IV)

Christmas Day

Our last day *boohoohooo*.

We decided to squeeze in as many activities as our aching bodies and harassed wallets would allow on that day.

Activity 1: DESERT SAFARI AND QUAD BIKING.

Babes were not smiling.

Our tour-guide was very sweet. And I absolutely loved the dune bashing.

Activity 2: SWIMMING

We had not had the time to really appreciate the pool, so when we came back from the desert, we decided to pay due homage.

You go fear cold naa.

But babes braved it o and slipped into our swim-suits(God forbid that we would have gone to the trouble of purchasing new swim-suits and not rock them).

Activity 3: DHOW CRUISE

This was the high point of the trip as far as I was concerned, for the singular reason that there was food, food and more food! Recognizable food. Food that was actually cooked with salt and pepper and curry and thyme.

I nearly wept with joy.

There was the entertainment which was alright. But honestly,  even if the background music had been a croaking frog, I could not have cared less. Seeing rice and chicken for the first time in a week was more than enough for me.

I was so engrossed in my eating that I turned down the offer of getting a free henna painting. Biko biko. Na so person go dey paint, food go jus finish. Was not worth the risk at all.

Boxing Day.

We didn’t really have a proper boxing day as our flight back home was to leave at 4am, so as soon as we got back from our dinner cruise, we set to packing and showering.

Boring flight, full of Zambian women on their way to SCOAN.
